Surf class Fantastic people. Jane and her people are very professional and do their best for us to learn surf. More than teachers, they are friends of their students.

One of the best expirience i ever made A really good surfscool with friendly and competent surfteachers. I did surfing about 8 years ago in Uruguay but this wasn't that much fun so i never tried again until i was in Itacare. We made really perfect expiriences with everything and everywhere in this surfscool. Good teaching, friendly treatment, good equipment. The teacher take care of everyone and have very good humanskills so they feel and see what the different clients need, to make the best possibel progress. This is a surfscool i can warmly recomend to everyone!

I stayed at Itacare for 2 months with a target to learn how to surf, starting from zero. I had the luck to spend most of this time with Meninas do Mar. My evolution and progress passed my expectations, thanks to Jane’s and Juqueto’s teaching. They were spending time with me before the class on the beach, doing exercises that would make my body movements come more naturally on the waves. They were staying in the water throughout all the period of each class always supporting, correcting, motivating and pushing me to go to the next level. At the end of the day we would review the video of the lesson indicating all the things that needed improvement and the progress that had been made. During that time I got the necessary push from Juqueto to advance to a level in which I had the confidence to enjoy stronger waves and start seeking for more adrenaline.

The passion of Jane and Juqueto in teaching surfing is clear and for that reason they keep small group numbers. I could feel their true joy and excitement as I was improving during the period I was there.

Also, for me something very important was that with Meninas do Mar the time with them did not stop after the surf lesson. Many times I was invited at their home together with their friends and other students for dinner, the delicious Fish Moceca cooked by Juqueto. I went to Itacare alone and after few weeks I knew half of the people at the village, the best places to eat, organic markets, local producers and many other thing (when it comes to food Jane can give you the best tips).

Because of Meninas do Mar not only I made my dream of being able to surf true (at the age of 42), I enjoyed all the beauties of Itacare, I met very interesting people and I made good friends.

Best surf school I\'ve ever taken lessons with! Meninas do Mar is responsible for my love of surfing and of the beautiful town of Itacaré. I loved it so much I went back a year later and I hope to keep going back. A beginner at the age of 36, I was really nervous in the waves, but the instructors made me feel so safe. They are so hands-on it's impossible not to learn and progress. The video lessons were really helpful. I can't recommend this school enough.

Great experience I loved the experience with Jané and her team, it is so wonderful to be able to support a female owned and operated business. The instructors are very supportive and teach you from the very basics so that you have a good foundation. Be warned that none of the instructors are particularly fluent in English but they get their point across. Watching the videos after class is a great way to see how you can improve. I wish I could have stayed longer to take more classes!
